He could be scared sometimes. As funny as it sounds, he didn't even like going outside. One day we took him out, and his chain snapped. Instead of running around, he ran straight back home to the spot where he always felt safe.Not everyone liked him, and that always made me sad. There was a cut on his ear that never seemed to heal properly. Every time I looked at it, my heart hurt because I couldn't stop wondering if he was in pain. I wish I could have taken all of it away.

Puppy reminded me so much of Jasper, our first dog. Maybe that's one of the reasons I held him so close to my heart. But Spark became more than a reminder, he became family.

Grief is a strange thing. It sneaks up on you in quiet moments, in empty spaces, and in memories you weren't expecting. Sometimes I still catch myself thinking about him, hoping that wherever he is now, he's finally at peace.

I hope you knew how deeply you were loved.

While growing up, I didn't notice all these things at first but everyone is suddenly measuring themselves by who got into the ‘bestʼ school, who is making money first, who has a relationship, who has thousands of followers or who already knows what they want to do. None of these things are bad, the problem is believing that they all have to happen on the same timeline. I've been feeling like I'm wasting time because I haven't found ‘my thingʼ while others seem to have it all figured out. The truth is, I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way. I just think most of us don't admit it

Why do we celebrate people's achievements but quietly use them as evidence against ourselves?

Maybe the gaol isn't to outrun everyone else

Maybe it's to stop running a race that was never mine

Maybe life isn't asking me to be first

Maybe it's asking me to keep moving

I may not know exactly where I'm going, but I'm finally walking my own path
